Writing and Editing Process--How We'll Work (3)

  • Edit, edit, edit. This can be the most excruciating part of the process, but it's definitely the most important. I won't edit for you, but I can give you editing guidelines appropriate to the kind of writer you are--which we've already taken the time to explore---and the essay you're working on.

  • Repeat as many times as necessary. My goal is for you to be able to become a more self-sufficient writer as you write and edit each essay, so you'll need less of my help as you go along.

  • You may have to do research for short-answer essays along the lines of, "Why are you interested [this program or major] within [this school]?" You'll do the research, but I can help you personalize your answer(s).
